Wicke and Lusamine

Wicke and Lusamine, from Pokemon Sun & Moon.
While I usually don’t jump into bandwagons, I had to make an exception because I was charmed by these ladies as much as everyone else.
I wanted to build a light comedic scene, based on the idea that Wicke kinda outshined Lusamine’s appearance. I’m not sure if this is a fact, but I’ve seen an inclination on my social media accounts. However, I bet Lusamine has a similar fanbase, maybe they’re just a bit more quiet.
I personally like them both because they’re perfect opposites. I only need to know more about their personalities to be more inclined to one side or the other.
Wicke’s case is interesting, indeed. I’m not sure if it is because of the non-chibi models from the 7th gen, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a character like her in a Pokémon game. Or maybe Game freak is finally understanding their main audience…

Daisy’s Mega scheme

Tumblr post: Link

If you want a closer look at Daisy’s idea:

Daisy is basically trying to turn Luigi into a Kaijin, but I doubt she will succeed XD

I was originally going to leave the speech bubble out, but I thought that having it would add more silliness and personality to the idea.

Mario Bros. Valentine Cards

“My Super Star”

I chose to use the setting from Super Mario Bros 3 in this picture, because of the aesthetics of the whole illustration. I think my idea fits perfectly with the stage play theme.

Originally I was planning to go for the Super Mario Bros 3 exact appearance for the BG, but I decided to soften some black elements on it. In my opinion, it was becoming visually distracting.

“My Fire Flower”

For the background, I made a combination of elements. For instance, I was trying to evoke the vibe of the first stage of Super Mario Land, as a reference to Daisy’s origins back in the Game Boy era.

However, since that game didn’t have any colors, I decided to use the aesthetics of world 2 of Super Mario Brothers 3 instead, simply because I feel that both settings share similar characteristics.

I would say that this one is my favorite of both versions. Maybe I just love the orange color palette that I used for it. I also feel that it gives the picture a warm atmosphere. It just blends perfectly with the concept.

I hope you like all this cuteness, see you in the next artwork!

Lucina Fit Trainer

Starting 2016, I had this sudden urge to draw Lucina for some reason, and at the same time I wondered: Has somebody already drawn Lucina wearing the Wii Fit Trainer’s outfit?

The answer… Well, probably. I mean, we’re on the internet, after all! However, I didn’t want to scrap the idea.

I also made some variations of Lucina’s expressions. Download the RAR file with them in my Patreon for FREE: Link

Part of the idea involving Lucina’s artwork was to make a masked version, too.

Since she’s supposed to be disguised as Marth while using the mask, I figured it would be fitting for her to use the male trainer outfit to go along with it. Besides, I wanted to draw short haired Lucina too, and this seemed to be the best way to do it.

Shantae Squids (New Version)

Recently, while checking my old artworks, I stumbled upon this one, and from this year no less. It left me with the feeling of, “I can totally improve this drawing.”

I started almost from scratch, using the previous picture as a sketch. I changed some details in the expressions and improved the outlines. I added her tiara jewel, a black vest, several other details, as well as improving the coloring.

Since I made many changes, I decided to submit this one as a new picture instead of replacing the previous one. Also, because I made two versions in the coloring stage, and I couldn’t decide which one to submit, I decided to share both.

If you want to, have fun comparing the differences with the old one.
